I have a 4 cyl 4x4 with 88k miles. I saw some concernings today. Driver side cv boot hole in the bell and the clutch cylinder was smoking and smells of burning electronics.

Time for new CV axles or just swap the boots to me lots of work to swap just boots .

Not sure just what might be burning in your Hydraulic clutch system nothing electrical .

Are you talking about the Master Cylinder under the dash mounted through the firewall or the slave cylinder mounted to the bell housing ??

Hopefully this helps. I have been trying to find a good write up or video for the cv. The bell housing has me worried. Also maybe my clutch is burning out? That thing write there was smoking.

The only way it might smoke is oil burning off the clutch and the smoke coming out past the boot in the bell housing

A hot clutch smells nothing like an electrical device cooking at least to me .

Is your clutch slipping or are you new to using a clutch??

Large puddle of oil showing in that picture of the trans engine junction.

Have to agree with Wyo, clutch has its own distinctive smell.

Possible rear main seal leak. Clutch friction disc getting oil on it, and slipping is going to have a funky burning smell.

not new to manual. But i was putting it on ramps and may have cooked the clutch a bit while doing that.
