93 3vz-e Rebuild

Hi I'm working on my first engine rebuild and thought i'd post some pics. So fare so good I had one nut on the exhaust that had to be cut off. I got a long block from Gopher engines. The motor came ready to be put in heads and crank all done, came with timing belt and seal kit with 50,000km warranty.
This will be my commuter and when complete I have plans for my 85 Pickup. If anyone has tips that would help that would be great. I have been reading other posts and have learned lots. I'm just getting everything cleaned and getting the rest of the parts needed. A few questions what oil should I use to break in the motor? and what type of silicone is best for the water fittings? and what plugs should I use?

Thanks

Nice pics! Very clean.

Best plugs to use are NGK or Denso, which is OEM. Silicone, use FIPG if your local dealer has it, otherwise find a product called "The Right Stuff".

As for break in oil. Dino oil seems to be the best to use for that, and I think others will chime in here. IIRC, running it nice and easy for about 500mi then changing the oil and filter is the correct way to do it.
