seems like it, but remember I painted over them too.

P.S. I don't think your gonna be able to completely solve that issue. Anti-seize will help though.

OK....mounts are off....right tools=getting the job done.

actually got the license plate off without an issue, even though the screws were unrecognizable. going to find the thread about the bumper and see if it mounts inside or outside the frame rails.

I believe it should mount to the outside rails. That's something I am gonna have to change on mine once I put that trailer hitch on as it should be mounted between the frame rails and the bumper. But since at the time I only expected to use the bumper.........

here's what I'm going to order

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BOSAL...item5ae11c8603

not from that site, but from partsgeek.com for a total of like $73

Brandon.....I may try the grinder on that hitch and see if i can reach anything. if not, you are gonna have to mess with it. for now I think it's too big to fit in the back of the 4runner.

VERY LIKELY will be running up that way....have to get nuts and bolts for the bumper thing install and paint....and pay the wife's truck payment.

i searched and searched....the nuts look much better on mine than they did on Joe's. I also have at least 1 more donut gasket left. it uses the hanger locations already there. no performance exhaust, but it'll get me inspected.

re-read the post above, i edited it .

ok I think I get it, that hitch uses the factory bumper brackets to mount and not directly to the frame?

so those brackets were a part of the hitch kit or the tube bumper? Was that an OEM hitch?
