ahahahahah....i was gonna post it a 3rd time just for the helluva it

Quote: HAHAHAHA! Holy..... seriously? I had to look back to see if he'd edited that, ...that's how overwhelmed with 'INFO' I am today! haha.

Thanks, b!

I remember that, now... and those are REALLY nice! Seriously..if they had one for mine, wrap around, for that price? (wrap around, meaning, ..you know, the side portions for 4runners).... I'D BE ON IT LIKE A WET BLANKET! lol.

Mark...honestly...those side portions are separate and going to stay on Joe's if and when we put his new(er) bumper on.....Smittybuilt....needs love but we're kinda up in the air as to whether we are going to use it or not.

did some big time damage (but in a good way) with the pressure washer last night and got alot of old crappy undercoating off the truck sides hat I had put on years ago...the wrong way with no prep....but it held there...95% of it did at least. also pressure washed enough that i don't hardly have to do any sanding.

don't forget the mud bog tomorrow either. I got an early morning, I tore apart my hi-lift for rebuild today, ran outta light, got to put it back together. It's paint drying right now. Then I got to clean out the truck so I don't have loose things flying around the cab "trying" to make it through the pits. lol. Hi- lif.......I mean HI-Jack off.

ahaahahha

Brandon....not sure what going to happen.....if it were up to me, I would spend all day at the thing....Joe would too. Little guy, an hour would be more than plenty for him. I do have some "business" to conduct down that way, as I want to seek out one of the FD members about a concern that was just brought to my attention a few minutes ago.

was that hitch of any value or a no-go? I know it was pretty hammered but given the amount of cutting i had to do to get it apart, it still has some life in it. considering what you were going to use it for, it seemed sufficient though.

so, likely NOT gonna be there. plenty to do here and I have a tight schedule today. my sister is on her way in from Maryland for a B-day party for her....this is also a bad time for my mom, as it's the anniversary of my dad dying in a few days.....so that's a 2nd reason for my sister coming in.

************************************

going to try to at least finish the driver's side of the truck today(now-ish...and early morning) with the "black stuff" which is undercoating covered with enamel. the painting we did yesterday on that side was easy because the undercoating was already there and just needed the enamel on it to be dulled and scuffed a bit. otherwise the undercoating takes forever to harden, especially when it's humid like it is.

haven't really messed with that hitch yet, I decided to rebuild my hi-lift instead. Too much work to get it on in the timeframe I had. Sorry to hear your not gonna make it. Probably won't have video of me unless someone else there catches it and since I don't know anyone else going that's not running their trucks...........

so...scraped and stripped the old stuff off and sanded it...to prep it the right way. undercoating applied....should probably take all day for it to dry. so i'm probably done for the day already since i can't close my door now ...so therefore can't back the truck out to turn it around. no matter. time is not a factor since i didn't even order that exhaust yet.

some pics...

details, details....

looking pretty good if i do say so myself.

Great job! That does look good.... I don't usually like two tone much.... but that looks good(still looks good! lol).

Ever thought of messing with the stripes on the side, maybe have one black, one dark gray and then the silver last? hehehe. How about a hood black out thingy... just that one portion like Yotarob did for a bit?

Take care, Jerry.... looks GREAT, really love the rear bumper... and hey, I'm just glad to see this girl getting some attention again! lol.

meh...i'd like to remove the stripes, but would hate their silhouettes more.

thanks Mark. yep. i said when this thing got parked it was gonna get some love. and it is.

magic eraser to remove over-spray etc etc etc???? i think so.

followed by some wax and it looks good....ran out of paint JUST before I finished.

OK...time to shower and head out

Thanks Brian. Joe's project got the best of us and the timing was perfect too that we git IT up and running and mine had to get parked..

i'm paying attention to all the details now. plus i've been spending alot of time underneath it, assuring myself the frame is flawless and definitely worth of another Rausch run if the need arises
