1st of all, spent probably as much money buying repair stuff than if i just had it welded (still the broken weld from 4 wheeling in June) but anyhoo, bought some goop and brace and strapping and now it's together again.

secondly, as far as the 3 bolts to the down pipe......1 was tight, 1 had about a turn and a half, and one i finger-tightened before wrenching on it (it was that loose) and just like that it's fixed....again.
Not sure if you remember my fiasco... My trucks PO had put one of the original nuts back on(kept coming loose), then he used a double nut on another(that seemed to lock it up and it came off no problem, but wouldn't recommend it, lol) and on the last, he forced on a M8x1.25 Nut onto the M8x1.50 factory stud(that took FOREVER to back out). All of this was especially puzzling considering the PO was an over 20 year Toyota Mechanic at the Dealer! GGGEEEEEEEEESH .

I got OEM Lock-Nuts with my LCE exhaust kit, but when calling my buddy at the dealer, he told me they were around 6$ for all 3. WELL worth it, IMHO.

hello.

nothing fancy here.

got around to putting my Toyota GOLD er , I mean RED coolant in.

isn't that exciting? boy am i boring.....

nah....been doing stuff with Joe's motor, cleaning and such. reading too. had to massively clean the garage today, still was a mess from 2 weeks ago, no time or no ambition since then until today. so we can really park a 2nd vehicle in there if we have to and a 3rd (it's a 3 car garage) if we move the tractor and the bikes.

anyways....

i know the have pre-mixed "pink", but i read that it is a different formula altogether and not recommended for us.

Thanks, I guess it's proprietary pricing. 3VZE takes less than 3 gallons, so it won't hurt too bad. I can buy 2 and have some left over.

wow....haven't been on this thread for a while....but, it's still a good place for me to babble (maybe this should become a build-up thread). got to thinking about it when PHILBERT posted up some pics from way back.

let's see.....what's new??
I put my cap on a few weeks ago.....hasn't been on for a few years, was safely buried in the basement.

I still have to buy those 3 nuts to connect the exhaust manifold to the down-pipe.....it's kinda funny, i know it's exactly 1 mile from my house that it gets warm enough to stop leaking from there.

I bought a bumper from CURLEY's RACE CARS https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f37/...umpers-217961/ and it should be here in a few days. not going to install it until spring likely.

nothing much else.

Looks good with the cap. How do you plan to paint the new bumper?
