while searching ebay i found a nice 5speed tranny and trans case out of a 91 truck for cheap and was wondering if it would fit into my 1995 4R, 3vze. my tranny is an auto and i'm hoping for a swap. i appreciate any help

 

was the truck a v6?

 

it didn't say..but cant i just swap bellhousings?

 

im pretty sure the 4cly tranny will not work and also did get the transfer case also im pretty sure there driveshafts are shorter on a auto

I don't know if it makes any difference, but IIRC the tranny/t-case out of the early 90's trucks/4runners was a one piece unit. Unlike your '95, where you can seperate the t-case from the tranny.

 

Looks like a v6 tranny. I had to swap out my rear driveshaft with a manual's one when I did my swap. It was a 2" difference

 

that is a V6 trans. It will work with your truck, but you will have to get many parts since it sounds like you are doing a manual trans swap...ie new driveshafts (yes, they are different lengths between manual and auto) clutch pedal assy, clutch line, slave, master, and mounting hardware, as well as the shifters etc etc.
