well to start off any help will help i just got my 4runner about a week ago and fixing it all up for college so if ya could help out that would be sweet!!!!! but to start off the sunroof doesn't work like if you push the button it makes allot of noise but the window part doesn't move, any thoughts??? and second the back window will go down but not up????

 

you need sunroof cables and you probably have broken wires in the rear tailgate hatch where they leave the rear and go into the door

 

It's aso possible that the rear window switch on the center console is in need of a cleaning. I had the up but not down problem, and cleaning it helped alot. Can you roll the window up and down with the key at the tailgate?

yea the key works to go down but not up, would it be possible that the motor is bad? and how do I put sunroof cables in?

 

It could be the wires leading to the tailgate, the motor, or the switch in the tailgate.

 

well i checked all the wires and i pretty sure the switch is good i gunna go try a new motor this afternoon

 

alright so i pretty sure i got the back window figured out any one know anything about the sun roof?

 

i suggest leaving it closed if it doesnt work!!

you could porolly try and jump the motor like you did on the rear door?

 

o lucky, well i dont even know how to get to the motor for the sunroof do i have to take off all the interior to take the celing off?
