91 22re firing on 2 cyl

New to the forum, i have a 91 toyota pu with 22re. had a water leak on the hose going to the air idle control valve, so replaced all the hoses under the plenum, put it back together and now only runs on 2 cyl. 1 and 4. 2 and 3 are not firing. replaced plugs wires cap rotor and all new injectors. still same, replaced ecu no help. put it in the shop, they had for a month coouldnt fix it. truck waas running fine until i replace the hoses. I am stumped, any ideas would be greatly appreciated. pretty good with mechanical stuff, not so much with computers and electrical. compression and leak down test all good. plugs have spark good fuel pressure i iam lost on this one past my knowledge base

the injectors in the 22re are batch fired, meaning they all fire at the same time. so, wiring is the most likely culprit, although yours seems a bit off, because IIRC, the wiring pairs 1 with 3, and 2 with 4. if you have enough extra wire length, you can swap the firing injector connectors from #1 and #4 to #2 and #3, and see if now those two work with 1 and 4 not firing. that will confirm a wiring issue.
