90 3vze weird problems

i have a 90 pickup with the 3vze v6. the other day i was driving down the highway and realized that my tach was off. i normally run about 3,500 rpm when im doing 80 mph but the other day i was running 4,300 rpm doing 80 mph? i aint ever heard of anything like it. then this morning it was harder to start then normal. i also realized today when i got to work it was adleing at 1,500 rpms? i dont know what is going on with this thing. i have never had anything like this happen to me. any ideas?

maybe its something with your throttle? It could be stuck open a little bit making the truck think you have it pedal to the metal. This could also mean that while it sat overnight it flooded the engine making it harder to start. Let me know if this helps
