89 toyota pickup not staying running
My battrie was connected wrong. So the fuseable link blew and the 80 amp alternator fuse blew. I replaced those and tried turning over my engune it turns over for 3 sec then dies. And just cranks afterward from there. I found out that my knock sensor isnt connected

You need only three things: fuel, spark, air. Check for spark with the inductive pickup of your $30 timing light on each plug wire. If the light flashes, the plug is firing. Test for fuel delivery first by jumpering B+ to FP on the diagnostics connector (this forces the fuel pump to run with key-on; you should be able to hear the pump). Then, test for actual flow by running a 6mm (1/4" clear vinyl tube from the return line from the Fuel Pressure regulator to a suitable container. Run the fuel pump with the jumper. I get about 1/2 liter/min. Do NOT "crack" any high-pressure connection; if you do that you MUST replace the two crush washers.
