88 4runner problem help

Ok well i took my top off my 1988 4runner a few days ago and left it off for a few days. When i put it back on the rear window stopped working... i tried putting the key in the back and doing it that way as well as from inside the cab... nothing not even a sound. All the wires seem to be in good shape but i cant find the problem

thanks

I couldn't get two of the bolts in properly and i did connect the wiper wires back up... so you think it could be an alignment issue with the top and the body?>

which two bolts? One of the bolts on the drivers side has to be completely in, as there is a sensor it must engage so the system thinks the top is on.

My money is on that bolt not being in enough.

2nd or 3rd bolt from the tailgate on the drivers side, if you pop the panel out i think you can reach it I disabled mine by bypassing the switch

The first bolt hole behind the driver side rear tire has the top switch under it. If the bolt isn't there, there is nothing to push in the button.
