88 22re injectors wont work

ok i have 88 pickup 4x4 long story short got it from buddy who had problems with it dieing once it warmed up after doing a engine swap(motor threw a rod) it sat about 2yrs prior to me getting it. so i swapped body on my 85 frame went through motor put it back in changed distributor cuz of his previous problems thought it was bad pickup coil. well now it jus runs off cold start injector n dies within couple seconds. Injectors get ignition on pwr. So i went though harness checked for bad injector splices all are good. checked ground splice thats all good. injector resistor was bad replaced with a good one still does samething. next my dad and i started checkin continuity on the wires back to ecu found all pin outs from all data everything check ok. only thing we are puzzled on is the 2 wires coming out of ignitor, the black with red stripe goes to ecu but we get no continuity on it that to me seems to be wire that tell ecu to fire injector. my question is where do those ignitor wires run? from what i can tell they go to outside drivers inner fender and in to cab. so i dunno if ecu is bad or ignitor, this thing just has us both stumped and my father is actually really good with wiring so im askin for your guys help.

If those injectors sat for 2 years there's a good chance they're gummed up.

Are the years correct?

88 was a year for low impedance injectors. Could you have the later high impedance injectors????

If you double resistance it will definately make it run like crap.

Corroded ECU can be bad, and cause weird problems.
