87 turbo rebuild kit

ive came to the conclusion my 87 22rte needs a turbo or the turbo needs to be rebuilt. anyone know if theres a rebuild kit i could buy?

try LC engineering, they could probably point you in the right direction. I'm sure there are a ton of turbos that you could put in there but I wouldn't know the first thing.

The stock ct 20's are junk. The exhaust side housing always cracks around the wastegate for starters. Swap in either a ct 26 out of a late 80's or early 90's supra or go to a t3/4 setup. I'm running a ct 26 and love it

I'm not sure if they run hybrids or one or the other. I hear alot of guys grab used ones right off the ford thunderbirds and run them. I went with a ct 26 because It's what I had sitting around. Price and custom creativity is what its all about for me. Oh, and look for cracks in the exhaust manifold. They're prone to cracking as well, and let us know what u find.
