Got to testing the AFM last night but I guess I just dont get how to read a Multimeter when setting is on 20K. I cant seem to get any readings set at 200 or 2K but I get them on 20K. Anyway, I dont see any "weird drops in measurement" when I do the test but I cant confirm that they are in spec. Still leaning towards the Fuel pump and or O2 sensor, gonna replace both this weekend.

replaced O2 with a new denso and saw an increase in throttle response and power. I am guessing my other ones were both fouled from my ecu problem. Waiting on a new fuel tank gasket from the dealer to do the fuel pump....

Got the fuel tank gasket from the dealer and opened up the tank last night. What I found was kind of weird but at the same time was good to find. My fuel pump had come loose from the fuel pump bracket, and the pick up line was almost completely off the pump itself. I was able to get it all lined back up, got the hose secured the right way and made sure it won't be moving again.

My assumption is that when the lines pressurized fuel would stay at the injectors and make it seem like there was pressure, but then as the truck sat and got warm the fuel would bleed off. I would venture to guess that the reason I did not have a cold start problem was because the cold start injector would give enought gas for the truck to start when it was cold.

I'm wondering if you ever experience a stumble or what seem like a miss when it "finally" starts?
Perhaps smoke from the tail pipe?

once it started, it ran no problem, although now that the problem has been resolved, I feel I have gained all my power back that was lost when the fuel pick up line came loose.

No smoke from the tail pipe, a little bit of fuel smell was present though.

yes, this problem has been resolved. I am now working out a slight miss that I have had since I bought the truck. the miss seemed to follow even after the motor has been rebuilt, and I am leaning towards the egr. Could be several things though...

Are you still have hot start issue's your self?

22re start sometimes

As I was reading the back and fourth it seemed like the exact same issue I am still dealing with. 92 22re 4x4 Manuel. After two try's of starting the third try will catch then sputter out and on the fourth try catches and runs fine. What do these symptoms tell you. Can smell gas after it finally starts
