the motor in my 86 runner is toast. i have a 89 22re out of a wrecked runner. so my question is what is needed to complete swap? i only ask because the 89 motor has a 4 wire 02 sensor and the 86 has a one wire. what is the difference between the 2 ecu's could i put the 86 ex mani on the 89 motor and run the 86 ecu? any help would be great!!!

The ECUs have complete different harnesses.
They may have different injector impedances.
The 02 difference is minor, but again, you get into a harness issue.

Best bet is to swap longblocks.. keep your 86 manifold and all electronics., etc- all that crap will bolt up to the 89 just fine... Under the electronics and plumbing differences, the motors are the same.
