I have an 86 Toyota 2wd truck. I've had it stored since my son went in the military. I drive it periodically. It's been stored longer than usual. Its not getting fuel, it turns over and if I add gas to the carburetor it runs. I disconnected the fuel pump and it's pumping fuel, reconnect but none will go into the carburetor. I sprayed the crud out of it with carb cleaner.
It ran like a top 4-5 months ago. The fuel pump was replaced at some point, not sure when but we've had it 5 years, 3 of those it's been stored off and on.

In which direction do you have non fuel stuff coming out of the line and what kind of stuff?

My first guess would be fuel filter is clogged up.
