4runner won't start

4runner won't start

I need some help. I put a new sub and amp in my 4runner last night and it won't start. There is power to everything else but nothing happens when iturn the key. The alarm went off when opened the door and i don't have the key fob, so went to start the truck and thats when nothing happened. since then i have reset the alarm and it still won't start help please.

i know it sounds stupid and too simple, but check your battery terminals. make sure they're clean and have good contact. my last rig would do the same thing.

do you have check lights coming on when you turn on the ignition? if so, sounds like it could be your starter relay. if you have a test light and extra set of hands, stab the tester into the smaller wire coming from the starter with the other end on a good ground, then have someone try to turn it over. if you get power (tester lights up) then relay is good so check wires to starter making sure they're clean with good conection. if still nothing, then drop the starter and take it to auto zone or what not.

and where is the starter relay located.

the starter relay is on the passenger side bolted to the inside of the fender above the wheel well.
if it doesnt light up the first time, then test the wire that goes to the relay to the ignition.

I still can not find the starter relay all i found was the bas relay.
