Any good seat mods?
Just got a '92 Pickup, it's got the 60/40 split bench seat, and I can honestly say it may be the most unconfortable vehicle I have ever driven.
I feel like the seat is collapsing under me, and as much as I try I cannot get it adjusted right.
My '91 Runner is one of the most comfortable vehicles I have ever driven, but it's obviously got the bucket seats.
So I'm sure other people have thought the same thing about the pickup seats, so has anybody come iup with any mods for them?
It feels like it just needs a little more cushion towards the back of it.

Haha...yeah I'm bordering on hating my seat, but I love the truck so much that i don't want to use the word "hate" yet.
I was thinking about switching to the bucket seats, but then what do you do with the big gap between the seats? I guess fab up a center console.
Why the hell did Toyota make these seats so uncofortable? It really sucks.

I hate having to work on it, but I love my truck
just get the consol from a 4Runner to put in
or didn't some extra cabs come with buckets, and have a center consol?
there's plenty or aftermarket consols out there too

Man, I wish I didn't have to sell my 4Runner or else I would rip the buckets out of that, they are so comfortable.
Some Xtra cabs did come with buckets and a center console, I looked at a '94 like that before I got this '92. The center console is connected down to the part that goes around the gear shift, so I'd need to get one out of a 5spd, the Auto console in my Runner wouldn't fit. They also come with that nice fake leather to go around the gear shift and Xfer case shifter.
Oh well, I got other stuff to do before seats. Was just wondering if anybody else hated these ball crushing seats as much as me..... misery loves company.

seats out of a 2005 ford ranger I cut the rear mounts in half, reversed them and welded them to the hieght I wanted. I also drilled holes on the top of the front mount, I also cut off th front edge of the mount. (wish I took pics. of the mounts) the seat slide forward and back and recline (when pulled forward) and they are WAYYYYYYYYYY more comfortable than the stock TOY seat. and there are alot of Rangers in the junk yards, which makes it easy to find CHEEP seats.
