4Runner Brake Problemo

I have a 93 4Runner and the passenger side front brake
keeps hanging up. I replaced the calipers and new rubber
lines leading to them. They still are hanging up.

Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions?
Brake proportioning valve?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

that can be caused by over tight lug nuts. make sure you check the torque specc for the lugs on your rig.

I have a 1988 toyota 4runner and the break pedal when pushed gose to the floor. I have replaced the master cylinder and bleed the breaks with no change. I was thinking about doing a full break job with new calipers and pistons but i havent found the time. I was just wondering if anybody has come across this problem and what they did to fix it?

Forgot to mention, new rotors were put on the same
time as the loaded calipers and brake lines.

The lug nuts were also put on with a torque wrench
to avoid over tightening.

Again, it's only the passenger side that's hanging up.
If I sit at a light & let off the brakes, about 15 seconds
later I will hear a thump from that side.

Bleed the Proportion Valve?
Prop. Valve sticking?

It appears that there's 1 input & 2 output lines from it.
That's why I'm thinking it's this.
Any thoughts?

Prob can be the only thing that it is. Heres a scenario theres a piece of rust in you brake valve acting as a check valve. Take it apart and clean it all out. Just an idea but I always have the hardest probs to trouble shoot. I'm in my last year of ME school though so I may over analyze.

I found that my drums were way outta spec and caused this. We replaced almost everything else up front and never checked the rear really. Fixed the rear and bingo good pedal.

take a look at it. Good luck w/ school.

Has anyone else experienced this odd problem?
