4rner gauge cluster removal ?'s
Gettin ready to replace my speedo cable in my '91 'runner, 5 sp V6. Can I remove the cluster w/out removing the steering wheel? Also, is it possible to access the cable at the speedo head without removing the cluster?

Thanks guys! Big help. The only reference I have is a Chiltons manual, and it shows to pull the steering wheel + lots of other stuff. This won't be as bad as it first appeared.

If the 91 is the same as my 89, then it's really easy and you don't have to remove the steering wheel. 5 machine screws hold the plastic fairing on, then another 4 hold the gauge cluster in place. Only tricky part is disconnecting the speedometer cable. Small hands would help.

I have installed an SR5 Cluster in my 89 4runner 1st gen. I know its from a v6 but not sure if its from an Auto or Manual. My Truck is an Auto.
My problems are
Fuel Gauge shows and is stuck at full
Speedo dose not work
Water Temp guage shoots up to overheat
