4-runner removable top on 89 pu

Well as the title says has anyone done this. Will it fit,without looking like poo?Thanks in advance.

Runner top

Unfortunately it will not work, the bed height and the height of the passenger compartment on a runner has a diff or an inch or more. the runner top on a bed will stand over the cab of the truck. I guess you could cut the bed rails down, but that would be an awful lot of work. It would be much easier to just purchase a runner style camper top.

or buy one of those aluminum scaffolding wings that i always see on civics... i mean, just to get the airflow up over the shell...

Well I will have to measure the overall length of the bed. If I have to make some sort of 1 inch spacer for the top,between the top and the cab, I would. Guess I will just have to drop it on and see how dorky it really looks. Thanks for the info,and the laugh's!
