it would probably be easier to get the bell housuing off a manual montero and bolt it on to an r150 and bolt up the mitsu turbo motor and make some mounts. this may be the way i go with my 92 if i decide to make a drifter instead of a crawler

like the idea but its cheaper the way i will end up doing it

you will need a stand alone ecu. The factory ecu will not be able to run the turbo. You will have no way to tune the factory ecu as you would need to keep the afr's at atleast a respectable 12.0 ratio

That and a way to handle ignition timing under boost. There are numerous Band-Aid options for addressing fuel and spark like rising rate FMUs, alcohol injection, boost-referenced ignitions, etc. A standalone is ideal from a control standpoint, but is also probably the largest project.
