3vze throttle opener
Okay, I've read the FSM, looked on the forums, and am unsure of the answer.
While adjusting my throttle and tranny cable's today, I noticed that the trottle opener screw rests against the throttle opener rod when the vehicle is off, but upon startup, there's about quarter inch gap.
Dashpot striker stays in place throughout, so not sure of why it's moving. It appears to be the spring loaded portion of the mechanism that's moving too, not the striker.
Is this as it should be? Thanks for the help. (And I have not yet gone through the FSM's step by step throttle inspection yet. Haven't had the time.)
Btw it would be really great if someone more knowledgeable than myself did a writeup on all the throttle adjustments on the 3vze.

yes, and yes.

By opening the throttle slightly when the engine stops (vacuum off), it helps reduce dieseling.
(PS: good pictures. They really are worth 1,000 of something.)
