3vze doing rod bearings

3vze doing rod bearings, do you recommend oil pump at same time?(100k miles)

If the motor is out of the vehicle (and i can't imagine doing bearings with it not…yuck.) i'd say might as well if the cash is there… Make sure you get an OEM pump though, thats not something i'd want to do twice.

Are the bearings shot? Why are you doing them?

The engine is in the truck. I developed a rod knock inbetween Kingman & Flagstaff (climbing hills) I limped back to Kingman overheating and am now stuck in a motel. Please help

If your truck is overheating also you may have blew a head gasket

Ok did the spark plug wire test,knock is #2 cylinder what do you recommend?

What is the spark plug wire test?
Drive it till it blows or rebuild it or swap it

x2, get it back to the house first, if it has a rod knock and overheating, the motor is already going to need a full overhaul. Might as well make it back to the house if you can.

Can't do it. moving from las vegas to florida. changed the thermostat not overheating now but the damage is done
