3vze bottom end with 5vzfe heads?

On YouTube I saw someone put 3vze heads on a 5vzfe short block and it worked and it ran good, could I do the opposite? I feel like it makes more sense to put 5vze heads on a 3vze to get more flow through the intake and exhaust ports right? I've been trying to figure out what I want to do with my 94 4runner engine, I can't afford a 3.4 manual swap like I'd like. Any cheap reliable suggestions that keep ac and cruise control are welcomed.
Thanks in advance

changing the heads and intake are where the money comes in, you have to do the crossover exhaust, ECU, rewire everything.
the other guy saved money because the main difference in the block is the bore size and he was able to keep everything else stock.
