3vz-e help!!!!

hey everyone, so as some of you may know, i am planning on racing offroad. I'm trying to figure out if it would just be better to keep the original heads, and race port and polish them, or if i should do the swap to the 3VZ-FE heads and port and polish those. i am aware that if i do the FE head swap, that the distributor will be a problem, so if anyone knows of a way that i could just bypass that, since i cannot really do any firewall mods. IF anyone has any questions about anything, feel free to ask! Just a heads up, im looking at my engine running around 450-500+ HP, and i know it is possible! Last thing, I am not looking into doing the 3.4 swap, and money is not an issue during the build! Just so Everyone is aware, i have over 15k invested in my suspension, its not built yet, but its pretty advanced, so i dont need anyone on here saying that my 4Runner wont be able to race, none the less win. Please keep in mind, ill be racing in class 6, so i have no restrictions on anything except no FI!

"The swap to the 3VZ-FE heads" he says. Like there is such a thing. Don't you think we'd all be doing that by now? Wonder why not? Because you can't...plain and simple.

In short. You won't be bolting no 3VZ-FE heads to a 3VZ-E block and having it work right. Regardless of what want you do as far as the distributor.

3VZ-E block

3VZ-FE block(though this shows a 4VZ, they only differ in displacement)

See the difference?

Just in case you're wondering....

5VZ-FE block

Does that answer your question?

you can't say its impossible, yet its been done! stock 3vz-e block, crank, and rods! 3vz-fe heads and pistons. 5vz-fe intake manifold, plenum, and tb. then you need to make your custom exhaust due to the tranverse on the 3vz-fe. So in the end, it is possible, just trying to see if anyone has any experience on this, or if anyone has any suggestions on what to do instead of a swap.
