3vze bogging hard in overdrive

If anyone's that had an automatic has experienced this please tell me I have researched and can't find an answer... Ok it drives good but once it hits overdrive it starts bogging hard to the point the tons start going down and it has no power you have to floor it to make it downshift because once it hits over 3000 rpms it has all it's power back but then will loose it while in over drive and slowly start bogging again

And btw no codes ....
I'm thinking fuel filter maybe ? 123,000 miles..

So when you put the 33" tires on you regeared?
Should have 4.88 at least in the front and rear with auto.

No it's got 4.56 gear ratio and does great dont pull a big trailer well but I get 18-20 mpg on highway and honestly not since I had the truck..... How much of a differences do y'all think this would make ?

The auto are heavy overdrive and taller gears help a lot.
Taller gears help the trans not to work as hard which keeps heat and ware down.
If you are using a A340H and 4WD, the higher RPM helps keep the tranfercase engaged.

Suggestion above are good, Check the trans filter and that the fluid is clean, Also make sure you have a good aftermarket trans cooler.

Mines a factory 4.88 with the factory 31s. On that note it does not like od under 2800 rpms period, and as soon as i hit a grade, any grade itll pop out of od. Now if i had bigger tires or less gear 3rd would be more usable leaving od for flatland. Or more gear and hang onto od more.
