body lift, suspension lift, chop the fenders.
Those are your typical answers. Yes it can be spendy.

If you're going with 33x10.5 R 15's, you may not need a lot of lift.
Here's a good article about these tires, pros and cons for different applications. I don't think the theory is popular, but it's something to consider.
Hope it helps.

Disregard the 4" lift suggestion. TC and AxleIke both run 33's with no lift, although Ike's are 9.50's instead of 10.50's.
You'll more than likely have to trim the valance a bit and pound the pinch weld down to prevent rubbing, if your looking for as cheap as possible.
BJ spacers and AAL's or longer shackles is a popular lift and is cheap compared to other options.
And the search is your friend as it gives you a good way to get the info you need. Plus, you usually get pictures and opinions too boot.

33X10.50s with only a 2" lift. No trimming, no pounding of seams, etc...

I added All Pro 2" shackles on top of everything to fix some more rear sag issues after I added the cap to the bed...but still, not an issue whatsoever. I've wheeled it as well and had no rubbing under a good amount of flex.

So the answer is "no"...you don't need 4" of lift to run 33x10.50s. I'm also still running the stock gearing, and have no issues.

Apparently it isn't covered enough. Good grief.
You can do this, as TC said, with no money spent other than the tires.
As long as you have stock rims, you must only do the following to fit them:
1. Remove plastic inner fender.
2. Get large hammer and hammer lower pinch weld flat. hammer it to the side on over, and then hammer it flat against the fender.
3. Replace plastic inner fender.
4. Bolt on 33's.
You need ZERO LIFT to clear these tires.

Lilyota, can you fill out your signature? It helps to know what engine, tranny, and mods your truck has.
The tires will fit fine. However, can you post back to us on availability if you decide to buy them?
4.88 gearing will be a good idea in the near future.

BFG's are all I could get locally & would have had to be ordered so if you have a source with that size in stock you're lucky...that's a problem tire size apparently.
(I'm no tire geek, that & electronics & how an automatic transmission works might as well be a foreign language to me).....the tire part is sad huh?)

33's....no prob
I got a 94 Runner. When i bought it, it had no lift just a sagyass fix but it fitted 33X10.50 Trail cutter's perfectly with no rubbing at all. I put a 3in body lift on it just to make it look more proportional.
