33's on a stock 88 pickup 4wd

Can I fit 33's on a 88 pickup with no lift. I am going to be starting the process of removing the 3inch body lift that has plauged this truck. I has nice new 33 inch cooper stts on it now that I just bought.

Hmm well that sucks. WHat is the cheapest "suspension" lift I can do to clear the 33's.

What do you wish to do with the truck? DD or use it on the trail? And yes, you can fit 33.1050's with no lift....you can fit any size tire you want, just depends how much you want to trim

Its not hurting anything if there is one more topic out there. I dont care how many "posts" people have. If they can answer my question thats cool. So do you have any insight to how I can lift my pickup?

Its just for off and on driving. I drive a 98 4runnner and a superduty too. I dont off road too much. There are no trails or anything in Nebraska. I just am so sick of looking at the gap between the arb bumer and the body.

why dont you just fab brackets for the ARB to lift it to match the body lift?

Then you can run your 33's no problemo.

It really kills me to cut up that beautiful piece of metal. Plus I might want to take it off if I buy a older 4runner or somthing.

I want enough lift to clear the 33's
I dont want to spend much
I want it to ride ok
I almost never go off road. there is no where to go off road here. it sucks.

if you do the brackets right, you wont even be able to tell anything was done. BTW if you want to cleare 33s with no lift (its possible) you are gonna need to run a 33X10.5 with the rigth backspacing.

It has 15x8 on it now. I think Iam gonna drop it back down to the frame. Crank the Tbars and Throw some blocks in the ass and call it good. Iam gonna start a post for you guys to take it from horrible to tasteful.

badass. I like the look of how the tires fill up the whole wheel well.

You are correct, post count doesn't necessarily correspond to anything.

More than one topic is fine, though a wee bit annoying.

However, if you'd searched, you'd have learned that the poster with few posts has no idea what he's talking about. You can crank your torsion bars all you want, it will not help you clear larger tires. Blocks are right out.

33's fit fine with no lift. myself and others here do it, and wheel it.

Yeah, just get the 33"s, mount them on a wheel with a lot of backspacing (I think anywhere from 3.50" - 4.00" should be good), put them on the truck, and start turning. When you see an area that rubs, mark it and trim. Most of the trim will be on the inside of the fender, not the fender edge, so the truck will continue looking like you didn't trim at all.
