33-12.50's????
Okay, my truck has a 2 in lift (blocks t-bar crank), and I was wondering if i could fit 33-12.5 15s on my truck?? I know as a fact I can fit the 10.50s with stock height, but what about the 12.50s!
Also, how much more gutless would it be, I know its not a racecar, I just want to be able to pull up bridges and stuff, not to worried about hills or anything like that, cause there is nothing like that around here besides overpasses!!
And finally how much would my speedometer be off ??
Im sure this question has been asked a couple of times, but I couldnt find ir with a 2in lift.
Thanks

with the 12.50s you may rub, with your rims... I've heard that a 2in body lift fixes this. you will notice a power loss but should be able to clear overpasses just fine, with 35x12.50 and 4.10s with a very slightly modded 22re i can pretty much climb passes and hills at 45, mine is dead on till 30 then it goes up to about 5mph off.

My truck came with 28" tires stock and with 32x11.50's the speedometer was exactly 10% off verified by gps over the entire range. IE, at 30 I was really going 33, at 70 I was really going 77.
When you change the gear ratio by putting on larger tires the change in the speedometer will be by a percentage, not by a single number...

I was wondering when some one was going to mention the percentage issue.

I have 33 12.50s on my Runner with a 2 inch body and t bars cranked and i still rub the pinch welds on hard turns. Now I have custom cut tires
I think they will rub on yours but a body lift should limit it.

Definitely. I have 33 12.50's on my 94' 22RE pickup and my speedo is over 10% off. With a 2" body lift and 8" wheels with 3.75" offset I slightly rub the pinch weld when fully turned and driving over bumps off road. I also had to mod the front bumper valance because the tires would rub while cornering at low speeds. After switching from after market 31 10.50's to the 33's I felt a significant difference in power.

Works on my mine
I put 33-12.50's on my 87' 4Runner DLX before I found this forum. The only "lift" is a 3" block in the leaf springs because the back end was sagging. All the leaf spring lift did was make it perfectly level, so I don't consider it a lift in any way. The 33-12.50's fit just fine (I measured all around in front before getting them). They rub just barely when I crank the wheel hard all the way to the left. I'm so used to not cranking the wheel hard to the left that I don't even think about it now, so it never rubs :-)
I didn't do anything to the torsion bar. If it make a difference-the wheels are backspaced 4". Not sure what people here think about lowing air in the tires but I run mine at 25 psi (cold), the psi on the tire says 35. Otherwise it's pretty rough riding on the country roads I live on. The tires don't squat at all because the truck doesn't weigh a lot.
Any ideas on tire pressure?

i ran 33x12.50s on both my 90 4Runner (3" body lift) and my stock height 79 Pickup with absolutly no rubbing issues, now i am currently running 35x12.50s on my 4runner and only minor rubbing on the back of the front fender at full lock

slosurfer runs 33x12.50's with no lift.. I dont count BJ spacers or tbar crank as lift, as they do not increase the room for tires.... All he rubbed on was the pinchweld, which can be beaten out of the way...
You will need to run 15x8 with 3.75" BS to make it work.. then just hope as each rig is a little different.
