Update guys. My father inlaw gave me a complete 85 Crown Vic that has fuel injection on it and a C-6 transmission. So the fun is just gettin started. The only thing is 85 was a transition year on the fuel injection. The injection on this looks like a carb. Anyone got any suggestions for this? Should I scrap the injection and just throw a carb on it?

I believe what you have was called CFI - central fuel injection. It is similar to GM's TBI. I was only used for a couple of years until the Multipoint EFI began in 86. Yes you can pull that off and use a carb - I think it even uses a carb style intake manifold. I don't know what the emissions laws are where you are though.

So lets recap.. I have a 3.slow auto going to replace with the aforemetioned 302 c-6 combo. What route would you guys go on transfer cases and adapters? Is there no way to use the transfer case thats in it?

Thumbs up 302 swap

I have a 302 In my truck i have finally got everything the way i like it i had to get an exhaust manifold from an early bronco on the passenger side so the exhaust would go striaght out the back when i bought the bellhousing conversions from NORTHWEST OFFROAD i would not recommend at all buying one of these unless you can baby you stock toyota tranny i went through 3of them it is cheaper anyways to just get a c6 or c4 or a manual which im looking for now but i must say putting a v8 in my truck was the bvest thing i have ever done to it the only thing i want to do different is put EFI but everyone wants to race and they just stare when they see your truck Spining posi 36" tires at a red light and hear it but way to put a good motor in it Ford all the way you dont have to have a body lift to clear the distrib.

Do you have the 3vze w/5 speed?

There are several companies that make bell housing adapters for USA V-8 engines to the Toyota R150F
