if you leave your TPS disconnected, your mileage is going to be bad and your check engine light is going to be on....check the ohms on your tps to see if you need to adjusted or replace it....i'm having the same problem with my tps, thats why I couldnt pass my smog test...

no, you need to take off the body throttle off from the engine, there's a link to download the manual for this truck here at yotatech. is one the is stinky, on top of the list of tread....

is there a way to keep all of the coolant from pouring out of those hoses attached to the throttle body?or a way to do it on the truck so that i dont have to fool with those

what I would do is find some bolts with the same diameter of the hose...take off the hose from the throttle body and put the bolt on the hose and used the some hose clamp.

I have no idea... not a 3.0l guy
That's the cap for the internals of the idle air control valve.

I changed the name of your thread by the way - the other one was way too ambiguous.

If you don't like this one then give me another more descriptive one and I'll change it for you.
I'm going to unsubscribe to this thread so just shoot me a PM with it.

Hey guys, i am in the process of checking my tps. When i do the resistance check they all seem to be within standard. Accept from terminal IDL-E2 isn't even getting a reading. could this mean i need a new tps? Here is a link to the test. http://www.the-roo.com/4runner/Engin...m/throttle.pdf.It would seem that there is something wrong with the IDL terminal.
