I just read over on H8 about the air heating up. I have a 22re AC compressor from a donor engine, that I have got mounted up on my engine and am going to start getting the parts together tomorrow for a build.

The post said the air out of the compressor can reach 300-400 degrees. Do you see those temperatures with the York?

york edc

I want to install an edc on my 86 turbo runner. My factory ac doesn't work, and the roof stays off during the summer anyway. Did you have to install an inline oil/air separator and return kit or do you have to keep refilling the compressor with oil?? I'm going to some junkyards tomorrow to hunt for a york 210. I plan on installing an inline oil/air separator and buy the return kit from kilby, so the oil gets recycled back in to the compressor.

^No separator, but I blocked off the oil suction port and its never blown oil.

Right now, the system is again out of order as the bearing on the pulley is FUBAR and making awful noises. I pulled the pulley off the crank and its on my to do list to find a new bearing... unfortunately, the bearing part number has been worn off and is partially unreadable. Its a Koyo.

so if you DO have A/C, you should be able to unbolt it from the mount, and mount the York compressor in its place, correct?

I am selling off the components for this on board air system. Its been a few years and I got out of the game. Don't really wheel much anymore. PM me if you want to buy the components except for the bracket, it got misplaced after I sold the truck. Everything is in good working order.
