My trusty '87 4runner died a couple of weeks ago when I took a left turn....would not re start. checked all electrical, changed fuel filter (tight ass job), plugs and wires. I can spray in carb cleaner in the fuel injector and it will start, and run as long as I hold the throttle ...as soon as I let go it dies. Paid a good mechanic $300 today and he checked it over and thinks it might be the fuel pump...however, when we loosen the gas line coming into the fuel injector rail it squirts (sprays with seemingly a lot of pressure) gas....so it doesn't seem like a fuel pump to me. Anyway, I'm at my wits end, and hoping one of you experienced guys (or girls) can maybe point me in another direction...please...and thank you in advance. Cheers and have a great weekend. Darrell
