due to rain/snow here roofs needed attention., but I got a couple things done on her. Ox sensor tested good, changed out torn intake boot, no change. For ""& giggles put new wires, cap,& rotor, again no change. Found out I may have a dead cell in battery, so swapped that out... so I figured the shop unplugged EGR for a reason they felt worthe

so I figured the shop unplugged EGR for a reason they felt worthy. I did that and low & behold she fires right up..once warm I Could reconnect didn't seem to matter.
But left Unplugged for test ride great 8 miles in a little stumble at stop light.. [maybe learning curve from battery disconnect]
Freeway ran fine. Flashed a check engine light on fast deceleration once..20 mile mark..
back home a few deceleration/red lights stumbles..figured I'd left idle a bit in lot after 10 mins stumbles went away.
next thought sould I delete.. Will wander the site for some pros & cons

. So after retooling (Snoqualmie river got me 10 years ago) and running some basic testing, I found somehow a couple vacuum lines got switched from the BVSV (87 automatic) seems I have had the EGR in a constent EGR test like, sucking the valve open. (The shop I think should have found that) Trouble free idle for 141 miles bad warm starts thought. So in between ran showers did some more testing Ohms this time. Start time switch, temp sensor, & AFM seemed within spec

fat fingered sorry. Went too check timing & boom back to bad idle bogging hard start cold even.. after a bit of throttle dancing idle steadied back out.Well back to timing hmm 4.5 btdc (sorry but more & more I kick myself .. repair Shops) bring it up a bit 5.5 no pinging, clamp r down. Now for the TPS testing WELL WELL WELL Seems a bit off there ( another Kick ouch..) VTA - E2 good .75k IDL- E2 @ .57mm is open or infinite (no feeler gauge .04k ) I didn't do .85mm gauge test (y) VTA-E2 Open throttle 4.71k ok & Vcc - E2 6.35 ok..
. So now can I adjust That ..? I have not find that in my Chilton or Hayes.. IDL pins for idle references..? Or Will adjustments change all pin reading..?
