How do you know the fuel pump is working? If you can hear the pump when you jumper the diag connector, you can take one more step. Replace the fuel return line from the FPR with 6mm (1/4") clear vinyl tube to a suitable container. Start the pump with the jumper. On my 3VZE, I get about 1/2 liter/min.

On my dads pickup it turned out the previous owners rigged the hell out of a fuel pump replacement. The new pump was attached to the pump holder with bailing wire and a bungee cord.......they failed and the pump blew off the little rubber fuel line that attaches to the pump. So the pump would run but wasent feeding fuel to the engine.

A few months back I did a full rebuild head block the whole works. Got everything buttoned up and turned the key to get good oil pressure. Pressure came up, truck warmed up to temp everything A okay. I took it for a short test drive. I got a mile from the shop and the rig just completely died. No noise no nothing. Just quit. I looked and looked thinking the worst. I checked everything... EXCEPT the connection at the MAF. Sure enough the little clip that held the connection on was long gone and during the motor in and out I probably pulled it slightly loose, or it was like that when it came in.
Check the easy stuff first then tear into the difficult stuff.
