22re feels weak, hesitation under load I'm lost!

For the past week i've been noticing my 87 pickup 22re FI hasn't been running right. Anywhere between 2000 and 3500 rpm theres seems to be hesitation when I'm giving it gas, mostly noticing it through 1st, 2nd, 3rd gears. Once it reaches 3500 it clears up and goes. It's like something is clogged up. And it's really a slight hesitation sometimes it's there and next it's not. Also after it has warmed up and parked if I slowly rev up to 2000 it cuts out. But if push on the gas it will not do it.

I just put a complete new exhaust from header to tailpipe including a new cat. I've cleaned the o2 sensor, reset the ecu, new fuel filter, cleaned TB, AFM. I did notice that when I cleaned the tb (completely took it off) the intake was filthy (similar to sludge) which led my to believe it's the injectors, I dumped a can of seafoam in the tank (still at 3/4 of a tank).

I searched many of threads and found many with my same problems but they never came back to say "well I figured it out, the problem was"

Thanks

Problem fixed. Replaced the o2 sensor and the hesitation went away. I guess cleaning it didn't help.

lol, well. good to hear u fixed it. i had some slight hesitation with my 94 pu and i decided i wanted to do something. i put in a new k&n air filter instead of my stock massive cotton junk and it made an insane difference. power immediately instead of later. mpg went up some too. btw, i dont have a tach so i wouldnt know what my truck does between 2 and 3 grand. lol.

yea, u still have the stock cotton one thats like 4inches of solid crap practically blowing air out of the engine? lol. I personally suggest the k&n cause i know it worked for me. good thing about it too is that u can just buy a recharge kit for 10 bucks later instead of a new filter.

I have the same problem-I was thinking that it was the injectors also!
How much does the 02 sensor cost?
