22re bucking, hesitating just need to turn off and start it back up to fix
1992 4runner that PO removed an auto 3.0 and put in the unknown year 22re 5 speed so yea someone else's project bad idea lol they changed over the whole wire harness from what I can tell. Anyway hope someone has run into this issue before chasing my tail a bit on this one. random surging miss or just acting like it's running out of gas when it starts acting up all is needed is to pull over turn it off and start it back up and drive for xxxxxxxx amount of time until it decides to act up again! Things that have been performed TPS adjusted, new cap rotor, plugs, wires, ohm o2 sensor, checked circuit open relay. checked for wire grounding out somewhere checked for bad ground connections no codes present. have a fuel pressure tester coming from the prime guy but won't be here for a day or two hope I'm on the right track! or maybe I'm way off that is why I came to the internet for expert advice lol! all joking aside have seen some really good write up on here just hoping someone has had a similar issue snd can help lead in T/S
thanks
thanks

Could it be the fuel system getting "Stuff" in it, clogging it up over time, when it's running? Like maybe the fuel filter? Or the pump in the tank's intake?
Remember, pressure is only 1/2 of the equation. Flow volume is the other half. You can have plenty of pressure, but if the system partially clogs up somewhere over time, the flow RATE (volume) will decrease until there's not enough to run the truck. Heck, even if it IS clogged, it can have enough flow rate from the volume built up downstream of the clog, for a short period of time, but it eventually runs low.
Good luck!

My 94 22re truck was having a similar problem although it was extremely rich. A quick check of the volume air flow meter using 4crawlers instructions revealed it was the problem. Replaced with a used unit and it's running great!

Found late last night that the PO installed the fuel filter in backward (wrong flow direction) replaced put in a new filter. took it for a drive this issue did not show its ugly head hope that is the fix. not sure how it didn't fail before unless filter was collapsing on its self or something or just plugged up still thinking about dropping the tank and taking a look for how clean it is. should note haven't had this thing very long only a few weeks and the other day was the first long drive with it.
