Hello, greetings from Iceland. My name is Sævar. I'm 30 and here is my project, please guide me to the correct section of your forum for a build thread on my car, where I will also cover the usage of the car for traveling. I have done this on another forum based off the UK, but I intend to do the same on here if you're OK with that.
Greetings, from Iceland!

Welcome to the forum. Beautiful truck!
May I suggest that you put complete Model-Year-Engine-Transmission-Suspension (especially for non-U.S. models)-Trim info on your signature to save everybody time? Got independent front suspension?

Thanks guys, I think my truck is not available in your part of the world after 1995, but in my part of the world, the model is available from 1989 to 2003, but they stopped in 1995 for you, and I think 4 door version was unavailable unless it was tacoma? Hence why I chose this part of your forum, this car is a 4 cylinder turbo diesel (2L-T) with a manual transmission (W56) and IFS(same as your 1989-95 pickup and 4-runners). This car also shares the same interior as your older models only with the addition or SRS air bags and power windows, heated seats.
I've extended this car about 3.5 feet to accomodate the use of slide in pop up camper, and for better comfort in travel, I've lifted body 4 inches, I've placed front mount intercooler, ARB air lock in the front, standard e-lock in the rear but modified for pneumatic function.
I've had this car since 2017 and I've touched every single bolt at least 3 times I think, and I have plans to do even more this winter.
On the ID plate in the driver's door jam Toyota put a model number below the actual VIN number. That info is very helpful. It sorta looks like a vin, but mostly letters, with just a few numbers.

Yeah, I think a Hilux outside the U.S. Body looks like the first gen Tacoma.
...and IFS(same as your 1989-95 pickup and 4-runners).
If torsion bar that puts most of truck weight on upper control arm - Good.
If coil springs that puts most truck weight on lower control arm like first gen Taco and 3rd gen 4Runner - Need to regularly inspect/replace the lower ball-joint. Explained below:

Yes exactly, my car is the same as your 89-95 models, it has no resemblance to the younger tacoma chassi
I have a photo of mine with the body off, and yes I should mention this, Im not really looking for advise or help, I'm a mechanic myself and do this for a living The frame with body removed, while I was extending the frame to fit the extra-cab bed on my double cab car As you can see, this would never work.. so I had to extend the frame, wheelspan etc... Work in progress Getting there... That´s more like it!!
