I have a problem with my truck. After I stop my truck at a stop sign, I press on the gas, but it feels like nothing happends for a second and then it goes. Like if it stalls. Also sometimes, it feels like the car wants to turn off. As if there is not enough air or gas. Any suggestions?

1995 4runner 3.0 2wd.
No check engine lights.

 

Check idle speed (your dashboard tach will be close enough for a first cut)
Check timing (don't forget the jumper).

 

thanks for the help. Ill look at my idle speed next time my car gets the hiccups.
