93 runner power steering leak from hell

93 runner 3vze. had a power steering leak from hell! cannot figure it out for the life of me. Ive done a new pump, with all new seals and such. Then moving down ive done the vac lines, return line, the steering box underneath the powersteering pump. (mounts on passenger side frame) and replaced the lines that go under the radiator to the main gear box and replaced the gear box too. The leak is coming from the passenger side. and completely spraying everything with fluid!!! i am running power steering fluid though. My auto teacher told me too. so i am but ive noticed a lot guys running dex/merc atf. Can someone please help me im getting low on money! hahaha

You should be running ATF, not power steering fluid. I've never put p/s fluid in my Toyotas but from reading here and else where it will eat up your seals and cause leaks. Drain it, flush it, fill it with ATF and be hopeful you didn't do all that work in vein.

Changing fluid won't stop the leak, and the fluid didn't cause the leak, no matter who tells you that, even the experts (LOL) on this forum. it's BS.

Well the fact is Toyota specs ATF in the power steering system I wonder why. I didn't say filling it up would fix it, I said hope for the best. It sounds like he's already replaced a LOT of stuff.

ive gone through 4 pumps now... and about 10 quarts of power steering fluid... I think im going to buy about 6 quarts of ATF dex/III and flush it with that. and hope for the best. im about 500$ into power steering alone... 4 pumps ( life time warrenty), 2 Gear boxes (1 new 1 junk yard) and about 4 boost boxes ( junkyard below the PS pump on the frame). What else can i do???

He didn't exactly say it caused the leak. What he said was that Toyota specs ATF and NOT p/s fluid because of the p/s fluid eating the seals, which it does.

Have you tried running a dye through it to see if you can locate the source?

Found the leak... front shaft seal on the pump... still no powersteering... meaning the pump is circulating but not working.
