1994 4Runner Wiring Harness
I am new to this site and am looking for a 1994 4Runner Wiring Harness. I have run in to the issue of whether the automatic transmission harness is compatible with the manual transmission harness. Also, the engine is the 3.0L and are any other year engines compatible. Thanks for any help.

Hi Welcome To Yota Tech!!
Just what harness do you need there are a few in your vehicle.
What are you trying to do convert from Auto to manual??
I would spend some time reading on just what you want to do.
Then ask more detailed questions .
I doubt Toyota still has the wire harness for that year so perhaps someone parting out a vehicle on here or used are your only sources.

1994 4Runner Engine Wiring Harness
Thanks for the response wyoming9. I guess I was a bit unclear. We are taking the engine apart due to a blown head gasket. The current engine wiring harness is in terrible shape so I am looking for one to replace it. My question about the transmission was only to determine if the harness I found for a manual transmission will work on the auto transmission that I am working on. I did find a new one at an auto dealer but it was very expensive. As a result, I have been looking for someone parting out and have located a couple, one being for a '93, thus the question about compatible years, and the other being a manual transmission. Thanks again for the help.

On a manual transmission truck there are 4 harnesses. Main Harness, Injector Harness, Head Light Harness and the Fuel/Tail Light Harness. I am not sure on the automatics. What I do know on the automatics, just under the cover and in front of the shifter, there is a little computer like box that is somehow involved with the automatics.
If I am understanding your question right, I would say no on the manual harness to the transmission. I am sure the injector harness would work if that is the one you are talking about and the injector harness is usually in bad shape from my experience and that is on the 22re.

'94 4Runner Harnesses
Thanks Terrys87 and 4X4YOTA for the info. If anything, I am learning alot about 4Runners and specifically my '94. I would love to have the engine harness from you 4X4YOTA. How much do you want for it and how can I make that happen? We are having the heads machined and a valve job done right now. Since it is Christmas next week we probably won't do much work on it then. I will check with my mechanic and see if we might also need the transmission harness. Thanks again everyone.

Thanks 4X4YOTA. I would like to see a picture of the engine wiring harness to see if that is what we need. Looking forward to the picture.
