Directly over the alternator.
The bottom hose comes out of the radiator, and goes (almost) straight back to what Toyota calls a jumper pipe. That goes around behind the alternator in the shape of a U laid over on it's side. At it's upper end, it connects to a J shaped radiator hose, which then feeds into the water pump. Right under the power steering pump.
If the J shaped hose is cracked, or leaking someplace, it could very well be seeping into the alternator.
BTW: That J shaped hose should be replaced when you replace the other two. It's a set of 3 hoses for the radiator, not just 2. It CAN be replaced with the power steering pump in place, but it's easier with it removed. No need to pull the hoses off the power steering pump, or anything. Also, when you get the hoses from the store, they almost always need to be trimmed to fit. They're usually too long by a fair piece. Just remember to leave plenty of hose to slide onto fittings, Not TOO much, or the hose will crimp, restricting water flow. Just enough to go on the fitting at either end, with the hose clamp on it.
Good luck to ya!

There is a weep hole on the bottom of the water pump. When the pump starts going bad, coolant will start leaking out of the weep hole.
Coolant could be dripping out of the weep hole, and getting into the alternator. Pretty sure the weep hole is not directly under the alternator, but movement of air could let coolant get on the alternator. Just make sure you don't have any hot leaks or cold leaks...check for leaks engine hot and cold.
