1991 hilux right hand drive conversion

I just bought a 91 hilux surf, i was wondering if anyone has heard ever switched it over from right hand drive to the left side? I have a written off SR-5 lined up to buy for the dash, and misc parts i would need. Is this a possibility?

I don't know if it's so much a bolt-on deal, but I know it's done. In Bolivia and certain countries in south america, right hand drive 4x4 vehicles are imported from Japan and converted (sometimes very very cheaply) to left hand drive. Those are called 'transformers'. My point is that you most certainly can do this with a donor vehicle and a bit of technical know-how, but I don't know offhand how hard it actually would be to do. I've never seen under the hood of a right hand drive hilux in person

unless u do a compleate cab swap, it would be a pain, all the mounts and holes through the firewall fot steering brakes clutch e brake speedo wiring. sounds like a nightmare to me. and then the frame mount for the steering box and a new steering box needs to be sourced.

haha thats a good way to look at it.. for now i think im going to focus my efforts on lifting it and getting sum nice wheels/tires. I plan on a 2" body lift and a LC coil spring conversion.
After i replace the rear springs and crank up the front torsion bars, will i have to buy new front shocks as well as the +3" rear shocks?
