1990 bench seat replacement

Just started fixing up the old ranch truck. The interior is starting to shows its age. The bench seat in my 1990 Toyota pickup is in pretty bad shape and seat covers are not going to cut it any more. I have been looking for a replacement bench or something similar. I have found a grey 60/40 bench out of a 1998 extended cab.

Will this seat work with my 1990 standard cab pickup?

Sure it will! With some fabrication/modification. It's unlikely that it will be plug and play.

Good luck!

Seeing as how the seat is coming out of a Tacoma, I would definitely say some modification would be required.

Well my only other option would be to recover the original bench. Dose anyone make a original seat cover. I have replace the covers on my Early Bronco so a bench should be easier.

IMO, Yota seats just out right blow and its likely unless you get a worn out seat from the correct generation that you are going to be doing some fabin anyway. I've got the middle seat from a mid 90's dodge caravan and it is SOOOOOO much better than the stock Yota bench. Fits in my 92 reg cab just fine. Just built some metal brackets. Of course if you can't weld you'll have to make a weldor friend.

The deal for the 60/40 seat may be gone.

Is there anyone that makes a replacement seat cover?

Not looking for a seat cover over the torn original fabric!

This's a stretch, but there's a handful of maybe ok ones here http://car-part.com. I'd ask for pictures at least.
Otherwise, I heard a friend went to Mexico and got a rebuilt one that's like-new. It looked great and cushions weren't sagging either.
