i have a 1990 4runner and it is a money pit ive invested over 3k in the last 6 months and it is still having issues. The starter and alternator are brand new but i have problems starting sometimes everything comes on (ac,radio,lights) but it wontturn over i always have to push start it, then itll crank up. it idles very rough and as soon as i accelerate the oil gauge, battery, and temperature gauge fluctuate. I sometimes will be driving down teh road and the car just cuts off!!! i had the key ignition thing replaced could that be it? i think something is shorting out maybe i dont know. I know little about cars except suspension. any suggestions would be helpful.

 

sounds like a wiring/ electrical issue, I wouldnt throw anymore parts at it until the earth points, wiring, battery connections and relays were checked
