Hey all,
I need to fix up my old v6. They Front end is a wreck, because I got in a little wreck on a steep hill in the middle of winter, and now it's really sloppy. Looking for advice on parts. I thought I had some links saved but lost a lot of data somewhere. Let's just assume that the whole front needs rebuilt, steering, suspension, ball joints; I'm not going for anything super fancy but I do live in Alaska and the roads are rough. I used to do this myself but will be sourcing out the work this time and want to be sure I have all the major parts and pieces ready to go. Whatta ya say?
Thanks
I just bought a bunch of front end parts for my 95. Tie rod ends inner/outer and sleeves, upper/lower ball joints, idler arm, pitman arm. I got Beck/Arnley from RockAuto and they are all Sankei 555 parts made in Japan. They are all greasable and the tie rod ends came with the zerk fittings. Reasonably priced too.
i second the 555 parts. I use em to avoid dealer prices. On RA, certain parts will be stamped 555 in the photos but be branded under different names, beck arnley etc. Skip the moog stuff IMO
