Maybe when I get more than one person interested in it.
Heck, my wife is happy with it. She wants more suspension lift.

But honestly, if you know how u-joints, slip shafts and bell cranks work... it wouldn't be hard to put a small u-joint on the steering shaft near the firewall, a slip / splined shaft down towards the steering box and a u-joint on the steering box, and extend the bell crank from the shift linkage using some sort of adjustable length rod or whatnot.

You mean you can count the number of times you've forced the trans in to low gear, right? Not the actual number of times the truck has been in low gear... it starts in low gear every time you put in in 1 or D so....

The only thing I was missing from my instructions was:
remove the top nut on the shift lever under the hood (referenced in an earlier picture with the caption "loosen the shifter linkage:") and replace it with a M10-1.25 jam nut. Thread the jam nut down until it is fully engaged (use loc-tite), and then thread the bottom nut up until it sandwiches the shifter ear tightly. Now you can use ALL GEARS (INCLUDING LOW).

And the last step:
Ignore the haters.

jmcgowan,

Nice work on your Truck!!!

I am just starting a facelift project on my 93 2WD. It seems like im going to be going through much of the same stuff you went through. I have an AAL kit to install on the rear and some 1.5" SDORI BJ Spacers for the front with the intent to crank on the torsion bars a bit - maybe even replace them eventually, we will see how it performs. Anyhow, with all of this suspension lifting, what sort of shocks are you running? My shocks are shot anyway and it seems like its time to get them replaced. I have been checking around with online vendors and im really not getting any help. The standard answer is that "They dont make shocks for a lifted 93 2WD." Bull! Any suggestions?
