Would it make a diffrence
Hey every one i just wanted some input before i make any decisions. My truck is currently sitting on 35s MT's with Suzuki rims and 3 inches of shackles. I do enjoy the truck but with gas being about .50 cents lower then diesel right now and the fact that my current daily driver is a crew cab 3500 duramax i wouldn't mind putting a little work into the toyota if i could get some decent mpg out of her.
So can i gain any significant fuel mileage if i was to drop the truck back down to stock and drop say a set of 31 AT's on her. I know the 22RE is not the most fuel friendly motor out there. But i would be happy if i could make 22-24 MPG on reg octane vs 16 mpg on diesel right now. Plus it would keep miles off the big girl.

31's would definitely be easier to turn than the 35s. I would probably expect the mileage to jump up a little. Don't know how much. How you drive makes a big difference. I know i noticed a decrease in acceleration when i replaced the alloy wheels on my 92' with steel ones. I imagine smaller tires would have the opposite effect, especially with stock gearing.

Oh ok. Let me know if you need any more. I am in no hurry to sell it as you can see and have been kicking around the idea of keeping her. But if i have a solid buyer i know it would make the wife happy
. Any way i am going to order a new rubber peace for the intake and replace both rear shocks probably friday.
