Won’t crank no power to cab

I have a 85 pickup that I took apart the ignition on and now it won’t start. I started it with a screwdriver to get home after losing my keys but wouldn’t start back when I shut it off. It makes a single click in the fuse box when I turn the ignition but I can’t figure out why it won’t crank. Any ideas?

A problem well-stated is almost solved.
No power to cab? You absolutely sure?
Or just no crank?
Pls see signature.

Fixed the electrical problem, now just won’t crank. I think starter is stuck I’m gonna try to bump it or get a new starter.

Read the thread Rad put up on the starter relay replacement. He has a method for testing to ensure the starter, and it's associated circuit to engage it to the engine, are still good.

Essentially, it involves running a wire from the battery down to the spade connector on the starter, and seeing that it cranks. Basically, you're bypassing all the other circuitry, and just testing the starter.

It WILL crank the engine, so only touch the wire to the battery very briefly, only long enough to test the starter, and ensure that the transmission, and transfer case, are both in neutral. Ensure there's no one in front of the truck. Not even close. No feet in front of, or under, tires.

Good luck!
